I thought that's exactly what the Gallardo was for.. daily driving.
Doubtful. I believe Winkelmann has stated that he had no interest in the company producing a SUV, & that's enough proof for me.
I drive my lp560 all the time in the summer. To the gas station for a red bull, here, there, just for kicks. 7000 miles in 2 summers. I have too many cars to actually drive any one every day, and I'm not saying its a Corvette for reliability or anything, but I don't know why you couldn't drive it every day? Maybe they meant for everyday purposes, like picking up the kids, getting groceries, hauling some luggage, and such.

Auto Express is reporting that Lamborghini and Porsche, both under the control of the far-reaching Volkswagen Group, are considering a collaboration that would see a new Italian SUV be built atop the platform that will underpin the next Porsche Cayenne. Instead of the V6 and V8 engines (also available in hybrid and turbocharged guises...) used by Porsche, the Lamborghini 'ute would reportedly use one of the Italian firm's trusty V12 powerplants. Auto Express quotes unnamed sources as saying the Lambo SUV is seen as a competitive advantage over rival Ferrari. While Lamborghini has a history building military-spec machinery like the LM002 (coupled with its history in farm equipment), Ferrari purists would surely shun anything but a true sports car from Maranello. In addition to the SUV, a production version of the four-door Lamborghini Estoque, which would use a platform shared with the Porsche Panamera and also likely an Audi A9 and future entry-level Bentley models, would also be on the menu. Might these two future Lamborghini machines constitute the "everyday" model line the automaker is looking for? Time will tell.
I kind of figured this is what route they would be taking. A 4door sedan(Which is stupid) and an SUV(Which is even stupider) Lamborghini should bring back a 4 seater but not a sedan. We haven't seen a 2+2 espada for generations now and thats something that should make a return! I like the estoque but it should be a 2 door 4 seater. As for the SUV really? The soccer mom who married a Murcielago owner does not need a 500+Hp Lamborghini SUV. If there is to be a Lamborghini SUV It should be no less than this [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RL9Y7EyCEx4[/ame] Thats the only way I say the LM00X will live on and not as another option for some rap artist to use in his music videos and slap 35 inch rimz and be drivin to the club to pick up girls! Sadly however thats were this brand is headed. I can already see 50 cent or some other idiot rapper sporting on now If there's one thing I'm glad Lamborghini has not done and that is not releasing a bootleg Gallardo with the R8 V8 for cheap. Bottomline is Lamborghini is about to lose its exotic nature over the course of this generation if they go this route. They won't be any better GM or Ford at the rate they are going. Soon Lamborghini will be releasing a small hatch back to compete against the Mini Watch.
Rumors & nothing more, so need to over react like the above poster (not you SS). They've spread this gossip for a good 10 years or so now about a SUV possibility, despite Winkelmann expressing discontent at the idea. The Estoque, however, would be pretty cool, imo.
