Crane Cam ignition, where does the shutter go?

    Installing a Crane Cam XR 3000 system to my 208 GT4. This is where I am, not sure where the shutter goes. Do you mount it on the lobe area or under the bearing? If lobe area, you would need to remove felt lubrication, right? Do I remove bearing now and press it down to the lobe?

    If you can help me, please be describe in detail what to do (and simple, my technical english is rather poor). This is the last stage before summer season starts so I am very eager to get it done.

    Yes, it is mounted on the cam lobe of the dizzy shaft. The spring of the shutter rest against the flat spot of the lobe. Be sure to adjust the height of the optical pick-up.

    Great! So I will just remove the bearing and press on the shutter, reinstall bearing and thats it?

    You may need to remove the felt holder. Best done by drilling out the rivets from underneath.

    Ok, so I will take the lower part apart as well to drill the rivets Tried to avoid dismantling it, but why not when it is on my kitchen table.
