That's crazy! I wonder what cameras they use in space (I believe a Hasselblad) and how much it costs.
What do you mean in space? Like telescopes or DSLRs on the space station? They use Nikon (at least NASA does). Not sure about the Russian space agency. The astronaut gold tinted visors for the EVA suits are Carl Zeiss. Not sure about the camera used on the moon...I think Hassy with Zeiss lens.
Just any in general. I doubt they cost as much as 1.9 million though. Just wondering if there were any comparable cameras.

For that price I expected it to be Ansel Adam's personal camera or something. It's just a really old Leica!?
I don't find it amazing some knucklehead would pay that... But I DO find it amazing there were TWO knuckleheads willing to bid that high.
