GT4 headlight delay

    So...
    I put on my headlights.
    They pop up as usual.
    I turn them off.
    They don't go down.
    I turn the car off, walk away, come back some time later and they went down.

    Any reason why they're on such a delay?

    Something ain't right. On my GT4 they drop immediately when turned off.

    Sticky relay?
    Is there such a thing? Actually I just made that up. Can't hurt to try and swap it out though.

    Many many threads about this - start by removing and reseating relays & fuses

    Definitely worthwhile to replace the relays. They are over 30yrs old now. I went ahead and replaced all of mine about 2-3 yrs ago- made a difference. For example, I used to have the winking headlights (one goes down, other goes up, etc). Once I replaced the relays, those problems disappeared.

    The headlights did that for the 4 years of my ownership. They always went down, so I never investigated. I just figured it was part of her personality. ;)

    You give me new 328 wheels, new tirea, new ignition, new suspension... But couldn't spring for some lousy relays?!?

    I kid.
    I kid.

    I hope it's just some relays.
    Cause I just want to drive the EFFing thing before pulling it apart.
