What is the story behind this dealership? I have always been treated very well any time I go there. I usually just go to look at the Aston and Lotus side of the house, and every time I do go I am always surprised at how friendly everyone is.

The owner seems to be a true car guy as can be seen by the various classic cars that are all around the lot, along with the private collection that is apparently up on one of the top floors.

Anyone know what the owner's story is? Anyone seen the private collection? I always get good car guy vibes when I go to that dealer.

Saw one of these having some kind of work done on it.

Years ago when traveling on business, I went by there after hours to peek in the windows at whatever they had on the showroom floor. As I was wandering their lot the security guard came out to ask what I was doing. I said just looking at the cars. He asked if I wanted to see more Astons, then had me follow him upstairs to see the cars parked inside. Even let me sit in a Virage they had stored there. Very cool.

Never been there during business hours.

No idea on the history or current history on Star. I went by there several times when I was younger and looking into a pearl white 88 Esprit they had. Never got a bad taste in my mouth with these guys, but that was some years ago. Glad to hear they are still around.

Good people from my experience, they treated my father and I great there about two years back - walked in to look at a DB9 and even walked next door to look at a Maybach.

Been around a long time. I have never used them, but have never heard anything bad about 'em, which says a lot.

I imagine Big Tex can clue you in.

I used them as a parts suppler when I had my shop on Dairy Ashford, really great dealership to work with, I'd never seen a multilevel showroom until I visited the Katy Rd. location.

I've heard that the owner has no floorplan, and has a sizeable collection of Mercedes, Lotus & Aston's in a secluded part of the parking garage that are 70's & 80's with 0 miles that were simply never sold.

Sadly I have no experience with Mercedes, Aston Martin or Lotus.... only Pontiacs and Ferraris!

The dealership has been there for years tho, so they must be doing something right!

Bought 2 Astons Vantages from them and they are incrediably easy to deal with. Absolutely no BS. My first experience with them was when the first Lotus Esprit came out. I was looking at it and noted to the salesman that there wasn't in A/C. He told me they didn't offer any. Hmmm, Houston, tough sell.

Parents bought their first Mercedes from them back in 1995, and up until about a few years ago we still went back for regular service to them. The guys at the dealership and service center have been there for a long time, and for the most part are honest. If we ever buy another Mercedes, or Aston i'm sure we'll go back to them.

I know one of the porters who started working there in the late 80's, and the owner of Star used to take them out to his yacht every once in a while to clean it.
