Congrats on a nice looking car. The engine bay looks very clean, that plus the fact that it had a Baldwin oil filter tells me the car was well cared for. Everyone has to start from somewhere, a few little projects at first, then as you get more knowledgeable about your car you start doing more and more. There is a lot of great info on this site, use the search button often. Good luck and enjoy the drive.

i got a couple of dings removed. used danny from deedents paintless dent removal. he did my m3 a few months back and did a great job. everything turned out great. a few before pics.

also, switched out the flasher relay. this relay controls the hazard lights and the turn signals. pictured is the original and it would work occasionally if i wiggled it. the new relay purchased from ferrparts for $38 shipped works all the time. the new one is shorter and has a metal tab that i had to bend so the cover could fit once installed. the replacement was an italmec as well. don't know which one is original oem etc... i know it just works for now.

i have a birdman fuse block on order and once i install the new fuse block i will try the old relay again.

    have a good holiday everyone.

ok, starting to get parts in slowly.

purchased the air filter from an fchatter. thanks c.

when i opened the air box i found a giant lint ball. anyone else
    experience this?

topped off the coolant with 50/50 mix per manual of 2.3 inches from the top.

i tried to replace the antenna and ordered one from auto house for $60 but i could
not get it to function. my old one worked but the rubber grommet at the base was missing. i figured why not replace with new.

tried to wire it a couple of different ways but no joy. so i decided to reinstall with
as much hardware off the new one as i could. especially the grommet.

will install birdman fuse in the next few days as well as figuring out why my engine is not cooling at idle. have a varell bleed screw on the way, fan switch and thermostat...can't remember what else i ordered at the moment.

my bendpak lift is arriving monday. that's when it will really get scary lol...

it's been a joy reading and viewing pictures from others and i encourage everyone to post more pics.

ps. went to the range today and i can confirm my rifles fit perfect in the little trunk : )

Looks like a critter set up housekeeping in there. No droppings though; must have been one clean mouse.

Wow, that is impressive! Just removing that lint ball (aka rat's nest) will give more improvement than replacing a standard dirty filter with a new filter. Engine must have been gasping for air with that fur ball in there :D

That's not a lint ball.... that was the beginnings of a rat's nest.

Love your car and your garage! You could eat off that engine... but I wouldn't.
