    It all depends on the car really. Most of the time I think its dumb, especially if the car has poorly fitting body kits that weren't painted that good either.

    I like tweaking with my DD, but I like to be able to drive it after I tweak.

    And I usually prefer to get more than 5000 miles out of a set of tires. Oh, and more than 10,000 out of a set of rubber bump stops (before they fail and crash everything through the strut towers).

    Yea. Money never buys taste.

    There are a few ways to score extra points in the hellaflush world.

    Get your car as close to flush with the ground as possible
    Increase the backspacing of your wheels. More.
    Stretch the narrowest tires possible on the widest wheels (don’t forget your backspacing!) possible.
    Shave door handles, trunk latches, keyholes, gas tank covers, and everything else that keeps the body of the car from being “flush”.
    Try to tuck your entire wheel and tire into the wheelwells. Ideally, it should all be shoved up where nobody can see

    Love this ****, but as the Stance Nation site clearly states its all about FORM OVER FUNCTION.

    It's nothing new, really, been going on for years in Germany.

    The (we) Americans are combining the German VW stretched tire scene with the Japanese VIP scene and the results are interesting.

    It's a good look, if you don't take it too far....

    Please flush this movement down the toilet.

    I sold a car to a guy and later learned that he put two inch wider rims on but used the same tires! I had 215/45/17 on 17x7's and he put those same tires on 17x9" wheels. Useless.

    The buyer was a nice guy but stretched tires do nothing but negatively affect the car's handling. He even put on coilovers for the sole purpose of 'slamming' it and making it flush. He also tinted the windows beyond the legal limit and traded the aftermarket exhaust because he wanted something louder. Yes it's his car and he can do what he wants but I put quite a bit of work into the car to make it more functional for the track and the new owner only cared about looking good cruising down the street.
