I like everything I see but the AC and that wouldn't stop me. It's just that the AC was good enough for me when I had one.

Tne color, interior and wheels look great. No side markers is a big plus for me.

The extra vents in the back are a turn off though, as is the little trunk space lost. There is still plenty trunk left though. So this should probably go to somebody that will actually use it in a hot climate, touring of course on the open roads.

I'm just not a fan of 9" wheels. I'd put the Boranni wires back on it.

Otherwise, it's great for Paradise Valley or Palm Springs.

I thought this was the car I had a ride in Rome, but this one looks like a US car.

The car is stunning if you can get past the air conditioner. It looks like the window units people used when I was a kid.

I can't tell if that a/c unit is sharing the compressor with tha dash vents or if they just killed off the front system all together. The trunk system seems to have an internal evaperator.

#14201 had a similar after market a/c installation which was an improvement over stock but not "ice cold.

The only Daytona I have seen with an effective a/c had a Sears unit under the dash. This was the ex Kirk White, Joe Pendergast car that was the Sebring pace car

Wow for $389 large it does not seem to affect the asking price one bit! Its about $100k too much.

I know this car well, it was being restored by McCabe at the same time as my Lusso. The car got every thing done to it, but needed engine work after the initial rebuilt as it leaked oil. It's a real beautiful car in person in a great color combo. I think at $350K you can't go wrong. Or, you but a needy car for $250K, wait two years, $140 in work + $30K in holding costs = $420K.

If I had held on to my Queen Mother, Vintage Air would have been my next expenditure. It seems to me that, rather than sticking 3 chunky looking diffusers in that rear bulkhead, there could have been a way to create a linear slot diffuser along the junction of the rear window and the trim below it; sheeting the cold air across that rear window would be the right solution.

No one has mentioned the Carobu engine treatment; 394 hp. I would think this would be a total kick in the pants to drive.

yea, the 9" rear wheels are just too much for me. But if you know of another set (of real 9 x 15 Cromodoras) please PM me ASAP :)

    Bryan,

I can personally vouch for the kind of engine work Carobu does. I just took delivery of an 81 BB that they restored. Hp upped from 360 to 470 w/ 394 ft-lbs of torque. Holey Moses!! This car is incredibly fast. This car defines "a kick in the pants".

Has anyone produced a complete Concours Correct OEM replacement kit with R-134 HNBR O-Ring Seals at every junction?
I just completed kits for Dinos and results show the repro evaporator is getting better than 19 degrees F of SuperHeat measured off the custom Dino evaporator.
    That is BIG cooling power

Vintage Air uses a wimpy 4 pass, single row evaporator with a KILLER FAST SPAL supply side fan in conjunction with an air tight case.
I'm stealing this idea and custom making hidden Dino evaporator cases
for our new , custom made 16 pass, 4 row evaporator that fits in the OEM position perfectly and is paired with a SPAL 400cfm supply side fan.
