A friend is interested in this Mondial 8 located in Edmonds, WA. The seller is Caleb Caldwell. The sidemarkers and the "never had cats" comment makes me think it is possibly a Euro car. Any information is welcomed. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Definitely a Euro model, which he stated in another ad: For Sale: 1981 Mondial 8 (Euro Model). S/N 36213. Dark Blue with tan leather. 30,000 miles (50,000 km). Sold new from Ferrari dealership in Paris. My first Ferrari, purchased in April, 2002 from long time owner. Serviced by Bill Pollard of SportAuto and Carlo Durante of Alfa of Tacoma. Since my purchase: 30k Major Service, water pump rebuilt, new brakes and wheel bearings all around, new rear stub axles, new tires, new clutch, all fluids changed. Original stainless exhaust; never had cats. Nakamichi Stereo and Clifford Alarm. Most books and tools. Needs nothing. Completely sorted out.
I drove the car around the block a last fall when a co-worker of mine was trying to buy it. Is it still for sale? It felt really tight (good) in the front end and the transmission shifted nicely. It started and ran perfectly. The exterior is beautiful, near perfect that I could see but the interior needs a thorough cleaning and reconditioning with something like Leatherique. No rips or tears that I could see. DJ
Am curious to know who owns this car now. I sold it to Caleb Caldwell back in 2002 after buying a 330 GT # 8325 in 2001. I bought the Mondial in 1988 from a gentleman in Hamtramk, MI. 36213 moved from Grosse Pointe to London UK to New Canaan CT under our ownership. Caleb did some good fixes ad mentioned in his add. Hmm..I am Caleb's neighbour. I believe he has a 328 or 308 GTS for sale which is a light green colour. I don't recall seeing him drive this Mondial unless it was his previous car.
