Its amazing to watch with the telemetry selected. The car pulls so strongly. 3.7TDI and 6 spd gearbox. Amazing. Nice of Audi to supply this site. Glad I own one :)

Is he dead? Looks quite bad.

Not good. The Ferrari picked the wrong time and place to crowd him. Maybe the lighting confused him. Bad news for Audi. They had this race under control. Even though the Peugeot is more fuel efficient the Audi was keeping the lead after stopping. Not good.

Really bad judgement when he flashed his lights to let the Ferrari know he was coming. The McNish crash I can understand, but this one doesn't make a lot of sense.

Who are the guys driving the 458's??? Do they have adequate experience???

Unconfirmed reports say he exited the car under his own power....

Eurosport commentators say this accident is clearly on the Ferrari driver. He should be black flagged and then put in jail!! :)

How could he miss the lights I guess it can happen. Helmets dont really enhance your viz or SA in places.

McNish was at fault for the last one.

I don't know about the jail part, but I find it hard to understand how he missed the lights. You have to be aware of your rearviews in multi-class races like LeMans.

Glad to hear Rockenfeller is alright.

    Ferrari #71. Driver's mistake obviously.

I was purely joking about jail but maybe that guy might need to be a daytime only pilot. Audi is having the worst luck this year vs the dream luck last year.

That's Waltrip's car. He was saying how the LMP1 cars create tremendous pull and instability when passing.

Looking at the last replay, the Ferrari never touched the Audi. The Audi passed off the line and cut straight across the front of the Ferrari and into the armco.

SPEED is reporting Robert Kaufmann was at the wheel.

at any rate, this is a dangerous race this year...speed differential seems to be too high?

Audi has 1 car left and currently have +4.50 minute gap to the nearest Peugeot. Audi in the lead.

Ouch. Glad everyone got away from that miraculously unscathed.

Did the Audi's driver lose control going into that corner or just expect the Ferrari to leap out of his way?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

That one was McNish's fault. He was trying to do too much for so early in the race.

The second looks like a rookie mistake (by the Ferrari driver).

Been watching from the beginning. It's easy to say this one was the Ferrari driver's fault, but maybe not. They were into the prep zone getting ready for a corner and the 458 was getting ready for the braking zone. It was a dicey place to pass...but at the same time, the Audi driver HAS to make that pass. Bad timing all around, so I'm not sure you can point the finger at the Ferrari. Rocky made a decision to go for it in a tough place with a very high closing speed.

Audi has been unfortunate with the two accidents, but I'm still rooting for the Peugeots to chase down the leading Audi and take the overall win. Hope Corvette wins GT.
