I found this white powdery substance on the garage floor this AM after I pulled the car out. It is eminating from the front of the car for sure. Its a very light white powder (and no, I didnt buy the car from John DeLorean). Note the circular formation!

My car is talking to me but I dont understand what it is saying. Anyone know what this is?

If you happen to live in an area of the country that uses magnesium chloride on the streets in the wintertime and you recently washed out the garage, my guess is that is the salts that have risen from the cement as the floor dried. This happen to me and it looks exactly the same as what I experienced. YMMV...

Thanks. I do live in the Northeast. I swept the floor recently, but havent washed it. Why would it be just under the front and no where else? And why circular? Maybe a battery breather? Its really strange!

    Anyone else have an idea?

Water draining from A/C condensation interacting with salt already on floor?

That would make sense. It would explain the circular pattern. I will clean the floor completely and see if this shows up again.

Maybe my car has a big stash of smack or blow in it, and I just hit the underground lottery! :)

I say battery acid... the battery is located near the front of the car... did you smell it? Does it smell like rotten eggs?

My money is on this explanation with "on"="in", particular if you have been using the AC right up until parking the car.
