So what was the out come on this project? I love this can and Im glad the owner is tkaing the correct steps to get her back on the road and looking good. Jim
Spot on - before removing the belts on my 355 during its last major, my mechanic found that belt stretch accounted for almost 8 degrees in offset in the timing, which caused me to run very rich.

Don't know what you paid for this but I ordered one of these 3-4 years ago and was quoted a price of around $850-$900...after waiting 3 mths I was informed that the new price was approx. $3K+....of course I declined the back order. This was by far the most time consuming rewire I've done on a 355. I would not do this again...lol
But the cams ARE adjustible on Ferraris (and have been for a very long time.) If you are good, you can get 1/2 degree accuracy.
Nice engine and wiring work! The main harness is a real PITA. I'm in the middle of a De-cat on a 2.7, got some interesting results... that Y pipe needs a flow diverter running from the base of the y right up tot he P-valve. Check out the stock piece for the example. Seems like it's no big deal...but it's doing a lot...
This is an awesome thread - love the pics! I am not a 355 owner, and I am definitely an ignoramus when it comes to ownership / maintenance (yes, I never heard of the Hill). So let me ask a dumb question (flame suit on) - are the replacement belts OEM quality or are they beefed up / strengthened at all? I assume they aren't strengthened, but since failure could be catastrophic, I often wondered why they wouldn't be.

Did you guy put a new set of headers or any other est parts on this car, or why the need for a new Y pipe? Jim
Fabspeed headers. To eliminate the upper catalytic converters increasing power. Keep in mind this modification is not legal for road use.
