One of mine has some small vertical cracks in the inside lip, discovered during a complimentary pre-drive inspection performed by Ferrari of Seattle. I checked Ebay and Ferrariads, no luck yet. New is an option, but $2200.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Thanks, but then add refurbishment/refinishing costs, and I still need to ensure they don't have the same type of damage...

I appreciate the consideration, just need one, and in good condition.

Try Eurospares.co.uk. They could have a good used one from the wreaked cars.

Who knows? I know nothing of the seller, the part, or price.....just saw it floating out there.

    Might be junk....might not.

Hopefully a trusted source on this forum can offer up a better solution.

Got a front one for sure but let me check for a rear one. In California may be able to help you with a decent deal.

Could you post a picture of the vertical cracks?

I've got a stripped wheel that needs to be refinished if all else fails.

You ougfht to be able to buy a used complete set for less than $2K. That's 4 wheels. Bolts might be extra, but you probably don't need them.

I don't need a set, nor do I wish to buy them and sit on them trying to resell the ones I don't have any use for. One wheel for $600 or there about is a fair enough deal for me if the condition is good, and does not require refinishing.

Sure Bruce, picture attached. It appears there is some curb damage, and it looks really old. I image it occurred a long time, ago, maybe prior to my ownership. The cracks may have appeared more recently, though they look old to. I have recently noticed over the past 6 or 7 months that my left rear tire would lose 4lbs of pressure over the course of 5 weeks or so. I performed an oil change a couple weeks ago, and while up in the air, I inspected the tire, no nails, so I suspected a problem with the valve stem. Never thought to look more closely at the wheel, particularly on the inside lip.

The good folks at Ferrari of Seattle have started offering free inspections to those signed up for FCA overnight drives, and it certainly paid off for me. I will be glad to get this taken care of promptly.

If it were mine I would remove the tire and check the crack propagation. I can't imagine what stress load caused those cracks other than the rim rash. IF the cracks are a result of that just tig weld them up, smooth everything back down and use the wheel you have. If the cracks are worse than they look on the outside, or you see others then I would replace the wheel. Just my cheap 2Cents worth...
