It does seem a little odd. Have you contacted the seller to see if it's still available?

you do realize it is someone cars on the forum. So that means the car is well kept and you can keep in contact with the owner.

Hence you are getting a good Fcar.

Not some socal rich doctors Fcar for 47k

    goodluck

Absolutely ... but be careful about the major service which will bring you up to middle 50's .... or the condition of the car. No talking if she had the valve guides or headers done before. That would bring you in the 60's range. Pictures are one thing and reality is another. Any 355 owner that has a well sorted out car will NOT sell it for 47K and this I assure you. There is no such a thing of a cheap Ferrari, you pay in one way or the other. I advice you to do your home work before you buy ....

I definitely agree but the 348 in question at the moment was also a members and from what I can tell a very good car for 27% less than a very similarly well kept car of the same vintage. Why is that? I'm not saying rbellezza's car is not worth it but that it's a direct apples to apples comparison and if I can spend 27% less, I will. If this car is sold I will just wait, another one will come along because I don't really want a 355 anyway. There is what seems to be a nice well kept 90 in Oklahoma for sale for many months and the asking is 37k. I will look there next.

It's not really apples to apples. Roberto's car has about half the miles, compared to car in the original post. You should expect to pay more for a car with fewer miles.

According to many opinions on this forum, well kept high miles is just as good as well kept low miles for what ever that is worth. The car I mentioned in Oklahoma has 1/2 the miles of Roberto's. I just cant pay his price. I took too long and missed a really nice one near me with 32000 well kept documented miles for 40k so I know the deals are out there and If I can choose to pay more or pay less for a good car, I will pay less.....unless I'm a fool....which I may be :)

Where is the car located in Oklahoma? I am in Norman (which is 17 miles south of OKC). I would be happy to take a look at the car for you if it is fairly close (within an hour drive or so). I have a 348 and I am also a mechanic. Just let me know. Thanks

Did the car have the major service done or is due ? If it's due, you are back in the middle 40K range .... I spent over 7K to do the last major, without it I could have sell for high 30's.

I see your car is freshly serviced and will definitely take that into account but for now I am still going to shop around.

This is the car in Oklahoma he also has an ad on auto trader listed for a lower price. I emailed him yesterday because the car in the original post has actually been sold.

Looks like a nice car. I noticed the ad states it is due for a major. Be sure to factor an additional $7-8K into your cost analysis.
