    Anyone here with a Boring Bar and the skills to operate it here on the Big Island? I have a 1955 Mercedes Gullwing Motor I need to bore oversize for pistons. Thanks Mark Passarelli

    Hi Mark

    Bob Simpson, the fellow that ran Pele Bug machine shop here on Oahu is setting up a shop on the Big Island. I think that all his machinery has been moved and I also think that he is on the south end of the island.

    I don't know a contact number that might be new for his new location, but I would guess that a call to the old location would transfer the call or give a new number. If none of that works, let me know and I will try from this side.

    The only other thing that I can think of is a friend of mine does general auto repairs in Hilo. He can likely offer a suggestion as to who can be trusted with such an operation.

    Darryl..This guy is interesting. I would like to meet him soon....But Magoo's seems to have a top notch machinist there and comes recommended by local hot rod guys.. Thanks Mark
