Another M3 owner overly proud of his ride. ;-) Like the NSX guys that come here extolling the benefits of their cars... but they're "looking for a ferrari". ;-)

Perfect Ferrari race car. Do the services on her, gut her, roll cage and go racing with NASA or SCCA.

Hey now, I wasn't involved with the whole NSX thingy, except I may have started it. LOL. I sold my NSX for a 430. The NSX is a great mid engine Honda with a sprited, fun drive. I paid $26K in 2004 and sold it for the same in 2011. I only had to change the oil.

e92 M3s have 414 hp stock, and while they to tip the scales north of 3600lbs I'd reckon one would give a 360 a run for it's money in the straight line. Never raced one, but I want to.

Way too heavy, too tail happy. A well-driven 360 will waste any m3 without a doubt I'm afraid. I like m3's, but they are a fast saloon, NOT a super car.

No it won't, e92 m3 is very quick don't kid yourself. I had one and it is comparable to the 360 the only difference is that it is easier to launch the 360 off the line, the M wants to spin with a manual. I ran my buddies r8 in both cars and the race is comparable up to ~80.

I've driven them too, and there's enough of a difference to make the 360 clear fastest IMHO, but like I said, I do like m3's and if I didn't have the dogs, I would swap the range rover for one as a runaround

At least you drive your M3 like it was meant to be driven.. most of what I see are trophy wives that don't drive above 50 MPH!

If the M shed 300-400lbs, improve brakes and suspension it would be an awesome track car.
