FCA Ottawa Ferrari Festival 2011

Yep. The VT (from Toronto) has an aftermarket wing on it. It's lower and is shaped like horns. It was on the car when the current owner bought it. Otherwise it's all stock.

That was a great weekend!

 

I wanted to also thank everyone for a great time. It was great to reconnect over the week-end. Well worth the drive up and down from Virginia. I have added a couple of pics...one from the parking lot before the fun drive and another from the grounds during lunch.

I'm really sorry that I missed the event this year. The Ottawa Italian Festival has become a personal summer highlight for me, but due to scheduling conflicts, it was just not possible. I'm sure Peppe did a fantastic job as usual and I'm looking forward to rejoining the group next year.... I am, however, quite surprised that there weren't more Montrealers participating....

Yeah, I was talking with the owner (Mark I believe?) before the demo zone on Saturday. Very nice guy, you should get him over here on F-chat, always nice to have more members from Ontario. He said he's on Lambo-talk alot but they don't have too many folks that can help him with the technical aspects of working on his own car. Told him I'm sure we've got plenty of guys here in the Lambo section of F-chat that can help him out.

Does anyone know if the owner of the Rosso F430 with the Scuderia wheels is here on F-chat?

Everytime I spoke to an owner from the Ottawa area I informed them about this site. I'v seen that F430 around the South Keys area a few times this summer so I know the owner is local, but I didn't get a chance to meet him during the Festival.

Get him on here! The more Ottawa-based Ferrari owners the better!

I have to agree the with prior comments. AWESOME EVENT!

This was my first time, and I was the 'newbe' having owned my 348 for only a month now.
I am anxious to do it again next year.

Highlights for me
1) Meeting Ferrari brother and sisters in Ottawa.. I made some great new contacts
2) Having 40 amazing 'Italian works of art' taking over the Italian Ambassador's back yard as our own personal parking lot
3) Huge turn out of people , well organized event that allowed us to park our cars (all secured with ropes and guards thanks the amazing job of our organizers) and watch people take pictures and be amazed. Lucky are we .. the ones that actually own these amazing cars that people were so turned on by.

The problem was the protien interface....i had run out of gas. All was good after filling up. I got used to 25MPG on the highway and completely forgot that 4 double webers only got 6MPG in the city...;-)

 

I figured. All's well that ends well.

 

Thanks! I did a ride with him in the F430 but forgot to ask him about F-Chat. Really nice guy by the way! Someone get him here. The video of my ride will probably be on my channel by tomorrow. It takes forever to upload, maybe it won't be in HD because it takes way too long. I'll do my best. Stay Tuned!

Beautiful 348 you have, it'll be nice seeing a Ferrari around the city that isn't red once in awhile. Love the 360 wheels.

if it the same guy i was talking to on the weekend, he just bought the f430 a month ago thought he bought a Real 430 Scuderia and he thinks he had the only Scuderia there on the weekend after seeing my car and all the special Item my car realized he didn,t buy the real thing,

 

I am sure he has more important things to worry about running a restaurant than a parking ticket!

I agree it would have been great to see that 599 whippin' around the demo zone though! Such a nice car that looks more like the 612 Scagletti than the 550/575 it replaced. Would also have been great to see the black 458 do a few laps too! Hopefully these folks will sign up next year to take part in such a fine event!

Not sure if it's the same guy, I spoke to him a few weeks ago and complimented him on the Scuderia wheels, he said something like "Thanks, nobody ever notices that. You must be a Ferrari guy." How could one possibly purchase an F430 and assume it's a Scuderia, especially when the only things not stock are the wheels. He must have been into F-cars for a total of six hours if that's what happened.

Danny, saw your Scuderia at the show, beautiful car and without a doubt the best exhaust note of the whole festival. (Just beating out the 360 CS and F355)

Your profile says you live in the city, but that's the first time I'v ever seen a Scuderia in Ottawa. Is she new? Or do you just not put yourself through the torture of driving around the traffic ridden, poorly constructed roads of the south end of the city?

 

thank you i had my scuderia for 2 years now bought it new it my third Ferrari that i own and love the power and sound that come out of the car and it all stock, well this guy i was talking to was a red f430 had the Scud. Wheels and carbon fiber steering Wheel with led lights, he said to me i thought i was the only Scuderia here now there two ???????????
