    No Peter, the radiator was just the noise of air mixed with water as it emptied the place I showed the picture. Actually look at the pictures below. We see that the expansion tank is rusty neck. I am absolutely convinced that the cap does not fulfill his duties since he himself was in poor condition. I just ordered a new tank. And I'll follow your advice at all, that is to say, change the hoses, the radiator clean completely by purging.
    The last picture is main radiator. And there is no emulsion in the main radiator, the water is free of oil.

    It's true I have not tried to flush the radiator with red wine! FastetIsBetter right, a few gallons of Chateau Margaux and I'm sure she recovers. Here they say: "I'm going to rinse the throat of my car"

    Actually, I think that the translation program you use converted the name of a coolant additive from "Red Line" to "red wine". Oh well. "Red Line Water Wetter" is a product that is added to your coolant to help keep the temperatures down and to protect the internal components of the engine and radiator. It is not for drinking. But I do think a couple of bottles of some quality red wine would not hurt things at all. Drink several of them, and before you know it, your car problems will be a distant memory.

    Too late! I filled the tank of red wine quality! And the car was nose up when it start ...

    I'm sure after a couple of bottles of a nice red wine, your car is very, very happy. Now, if you really want to thank me for the advice, a case of Chateau Marguex would do very nicely!!!     Hi guys!

    It did not work. I thought that by replacing the expansion cooling my 400 would no longer runny nose. No, the liquid always flows when the water temperature reaches 230 ° F. While the oil does not exceed 190 ° F. Actually your diagnosis was correct, surely the water pump that sits. You asked me to keep you informed, we are done. I'll give the craft a buddy specialist who will prepare me for this badly educated 400!
    What surprises me is that the oil does not heat the water and yes. When hot it overflows even now directly from the tank of the radiator cap.

    No PAP 348 is the water that comes out
    the expansion tank as the
    first time and this time more
    it by the radiator cap. Not at the Pump
    I will do as you have suggested me a check of the pressure in the radiator.
    The temperature rises and the water overflows

    I'd be replacing everything I can - all hoses, caps you have not already replaced, the thermostat, everything - because you will eventually anyway.
    The hoses - when get old get soft, and they can compress (squeeze in) under pressure, this is why you saw some hoses with helicoil springs inside of them, to keep them from collapsing and stopping water flow.
    Replace every piece you can, and if you still have issues, the only item left is the water pump.

    Ok mate, pressure test the old girl to look for leaks.

    If there is pressure building up in the system, more than it should..................I wonder if you over heated it and blown a head gasket?

    Or cracked a cylinder head. :eek::eek:

    No point guessing. Check for leaks first and go from there mate. :):)

    Ok thank's boys,

    I will start to check the pressure. If we find what happens from there we'll see. Then yes it is useful to change all hoses and more like as suggested Whisky.
    But I think PAP, if it was a head gasket, I would have oil in the water, right?

    Well, I just got my Ferrari specialist (a friend who worked at Ferrari) who said as PAP, for to be quiet, we will remove the cylinder heads, engine check everything up, change the 2 head gaskets, valves, etc.. I think drastic measures are necessary to maintain a vintage Ferrari in good condition.
    My decision is made.
    And if it's too expensive, I would sell my dog​​, my wife and maybe my daughter ...

    Not all the time mate, head gaskets can blow coolant into the cylinder or between cylidners without mixing oil with water. Heads can also crack and cause the same symptoms.

    You can use a "sniffer test" to check for combustion chamber gases in the cooling system. I have a test kit here, very useful.

    Do you think you should investigate the problem before pulling the heads off mate??

    I mean, no point spending BIG dollars if you dont have to? :eek:

    Please, pressure test cooling system to look for leaks.

    Fix the the leak/s if there are any.

    Start car and check. If it's still pressurizing (if I understand you correctly), then have a sniffer test done to check for blown head gaskets or cracked heads.

    In that order, dont pull the heads off yet mate! :D:D

    I will look at UPS tomorrow Tester Co ² to know if the gas engine in the water circuit. But anyway, with the guidance of each other and the state of the car it seems appropriate to purge the water system and do a thorough cleaning. If there is gas in the circuit, as suggested by PAP we will open the engine and see where it comes from.

    I know tomorrow if I eat potatoes during the coming year.

    I just did the test with the instrument Cribbj told me I got it done 3 days. Result: the liquid did not change color. The test was repeated three times with the same result. I therefore conclude that it is perhaps not the block or a cracked head gasket. So I'm going to do a pressure test first and then change all the hoses (or clean) purge the radiator and make sure it is not obstructed by anything as suggested by PAP 348 and Whisky.
