It looks like there is a spacer between the Y pipe and the bypass valve. Is that normal?

Likely a dumb question but was the spacer for 2.7 cars and the Y pipe changed in the 5.2 cars?

That sounds odd. One tooth on the cam gear equals about 11deg. I can't imagine so much belt stretch that it equals almost one geartooth of variation in timing.

    Just my observation.

    Numbers, we want numbers!!!

Can you tell us the type of exhaust and if it's running bypass tubes?

    Thanks for the cool vid.

    Love the flames!

Reminds me of my 1st car, a fully worked VW beetle with a 1850 cc motor I built that would shoot flames on over-run via the megaphone on the equal-length headers. Great at night!

Nice work but you should really think of calling these more than major services since you are really bringing the car back to next to new condition. Maybe major renovations or something but they appear to be so much more than a major service. I love watching the threads. Keep it up!

Thank you. Most cars start as a major service before morphing into a large scale project. This car ended up being a can of worms.

In regards to the taping on the car prior to the polish work, do you ever have a problem with being able to see strips of scratches after removing the tape? If so, how do you handle this? Thanks for your time to answer. ;)

A strip of scratches is better than a burn. When we pull the tape the corner is hand polished. Single stage paint is a whole different animal to detail.

I agree. I was just curious how you handled it. Sounds like a lot of work to get it right. Thanks for your reply.
