I would sell my 87 Black / tan 328 for $37,000. 46,000 miles, 1 owner other than me, books, tools spare, service records, and we just did the belts and the a/c rotary compressor upgrade in March.

    I want another car after 7 Ferrari 308's .

+1 The good cars rarely change hands via ebay or any of the big car sites. They usually go word of mouth or here on fchat. Do some digging and if you're really serious, put the word out here in the community. Then you'll see what the good ones will actually sell for. I don't kid myself, they aren't particularly valuable yet, but I do believe they will go up over the next few years. Short story, good 2Vi drivers are low 20's, good carb and QV's are in the 30's, with outliers in both directions. Rats can be had in the teens, 'glass and concours cars will be a bit higher - upper 30's-40's. The really rare exceptional car will be higher but will be a *very* tough sell.

Rick, The old adage holds especially true in Ferrari-land. Buy the absolute best example you can afford. Much less expensive and less frustrating to purchase one all done and ready to go versus try to find a "deal" and fix it up.

+1 for Peter, he's a real stand-up guy. A lot of us has bought cars from him. He's also on ebay with his listings. I think he's "user258" or something. Look for a listing from CT.

Good luck and don't worry, people make fun of me looking for a car for two years....
