Engine out for 360 belt service?

I am looking at a 2004 360 coupe with 8,400 miles that is due for a belt service, which the seller will pay for. Is there any reason at all to take the engine out for a 360 belt service, or does removing the access panel from the cockpit provide all the access necessary to do the job properly?

 

the 360 belt's can be done with the engine in the vehicle. No need to pull to replace the belts. Some dealerships will pull the engine to do the job I've heard.

 

The access panel on the 360 is the reason it's much easier to do the belt change. No engine out.

Do a 360 timing belt search. You will find more than you could imagine, good and bad.

 

Yes, engine is inside Just remove seats, nad panel behind the seats, and you can work like king it's more then enough space to do it

Yes, there is a reason to remove the engine to change the timing belts and the reason is for ripping you off, lol.


The reason why there's a removable panel behind the seat is exactly to perform belt changes.

You have to remove the seats, too. Then plenty of room to do the belt change, or so I'm told.

 

8400 miles seems low for a 2006. My 2002 just cracked 18k.

You do not have to take the engine out.

 

It's an 04 if that makes it better.

 

9,000 miles and counting now! Yes, it's a 2004 and I purchased it last week with 8,400 miles. The last belt service was in 2007, so it's time. Dropped it off at Boardwalk Ferrari in Dallas this morning. Thanks for all the help. My first Ferrari!
