I want to remove my A/C evap plenum-blower assembly to check and clean it all out, if it is anything like what I found in the two front heater cores. Are there any threads on the procedure you found are best? So far my search has not come up with one.
My main concern is what I might need to remove above - like the brake master cylinder, etc. I hope not!

    Thanks.

Yes, I did remove it and now know much about this area of my 308. Taking it out was pretty straight forward. When I got it out, I found the plastic case around the front mounting bracket was badly cracked leaving some open space for air to leak out. I used ABS glue to reset the pieces (like a mosaic project) and then fabricated a sheet of copper stuck on with 5 min epoxy backed up with some new pop rivets to make it better than new. I did not need to remove the master cylinder (BTW-that looks really messy) but did have to take out the front console section, the passenger side footrest plate, spare tire & tub cover, radio, center vents & duct and only had to detach and swing aside the relay panel. Took about 1 hour (this was my first time). Getting it back in was a real bit_h - especially doing it alone. The top duct to the dash vents was most of the problem. Get a second pair of hands to guide the evaporator tubes back up through the body too and hold it in place to align and insert the to front bolts. I tried to do it with the expansion valve finger tight in place - no way. But I did not want to remove it as I wanted to be sure the sensor bulb would remain down in the evap chamber - as I've already noted in another thread. So then I just loosened it so it would swivel around a bit - nope. I had to lift it off the tube a bit, but without dislodging the sensor bulb, to make it happen - FINALLY! A second guy would have cut my re-install time by 30 min (it took me about 60 mins!). Again, this was my first time at this. NEXT TIME......., I could easily cut my times in half - or even more with help!
I have some pictures on my file server (at work) which I'll post next week after vacation (no worries, I own the company - LOL!)
