Black vs Red

A new 458, man that's gunna hurt LOL

Red is just so bloody boring. Triple layer pearl yellow is the colour IMHO. That was the colour of the 458 at the Phillip Island Pilota course a couple of months back.
Resale colours are Red, yellow and black I do believe.

Looking at the latest breakdown of new cars purchased (2008) the colours preferred are Red, Black and silver/grey - they account for over 80% of cars. Yellow over the 12 years declined from 10% to 3% - as did Blue.

 

Very interesting statistics. Colour preference does vary from country to country and in our part of the world the dealers tell me that it is red, yellow and black on the V8's. In fact silver and it's variations are resale death in the V8's; but popular in the V12's.

Second hand values should be falling pretty rapidly now that supply has caught up with demand. The hairdresser 458 will also arrive soon and that will result in a number of near new hard tops coming on to the market and prices will soften again.
If Zagame have sold the black car there will be more and more to choose from over the next 12 months

In any case I reckon you should test drive their Scuderia first. It will provide an interesting comparison to your 430 and the 458.

 

Here is a picture of my phone, not the best as the weather is bad out side ,but in my opinion the black is just so evil looking compared to the red . I shall when the weather is fine get a few better shots in natural light as the picture doesnt show the difference , the dark colour makes the roof look lower body more sleek.

I saw a white 458 driving around in Beverly Hills and it was stunning. You might want to see one in person.

 

I agree, IMHO, the black makes the 458 look sinister and that's what convinced me to order a 458 and in that color...black wheels... "darth vader" your 458 is ready...LOL.

 

white with black rims is now my color of choice.
interior could be red or black. i have 2 years to decide on this.

 

You see a white X5 M with oregon plates yet?? Haha I've been in LA for the past couple weeks for work.

I really like white cars, but I think for me and this being my first ferrari i need to do red at least once. Which is weird because I've never been a fan of bright colors, but my Fiat and Renault R5 are both red and for some reason its growing on me. I sometimes wish I had gotten my X5 in red with the red interior!! It also helps that the girl im dating right now loves red cars, she might be a keeper.
