Is Paul McCartney's 400GT 2+2 in its original color?
    Color chart?
    Maybe Amaranto?
    Is this metallic?
Anyone have the modern formula for the color shown here?

I'm trying to find the Grills for the air vents on the center console.

    Hey Craig,

If my memory serves me (and there is no real reason it should ;^D ) you can see Sir Paul's car parked in the documentary Let It Be, where they did the concert on the roof.

So...maybe you could sort of get an idea from that? But of course, it all depends on so many variables.

We really need (I really need?) to get the color charts together in one location. Marcel gave me the 350 colors a few years back:

    http://www.400gt.com/misc/350colors.jpg

And like Gary said, I think there are some more posts here with the 400 colors.

Anybody want to search for them and list the post number?

    Fred

This appears to be a late model, maybe 1324, with twin wipers.....maybe some badging added on the front fenders.
    Is this 1324?
What is this color? A factory color or owner choice?

My car finally got painted last week and we're now detailing the engine bay and chassis. was the thick undercoating used on the floors, spare wheel basket and under the wheel arches?what about the engine bay?

    Thank you,
    Jacques

Hi Jacques -- oddly enough, can't remember about the floor panels but I might have some photos, I'll look later.

    wheel basket definitely yes
wheel arches, I think so, I remember taking off inner panels and they had the undercoating
engine bay -- definitely, without a doubt. And this is what sets of the truly great cars from the also rans, getting that right. I'd love to know how you do it, mine was done professionally but was/is still too "wimpy" and thinnish. The real stuff was really splattered on there thickly.

I'm pretty sure floors and arches are undercoated because this was one thing that really made the old lambs stick out from the Ferraris -- the "sound deadening" -- Ferruccio was well aware of that, and the RT articles etc made a point to talk about that.

    Cheers,

    Fred

Jacques, I've looked through a bunch of photos and I'm going with "yes to all"

Sometimes it's hard to tell -- sometimes it's thicker in one place than another. But I'm pretty sure everything is undercoated.

    Maybe ask Jack to confirm...?

    Good luck!

    Nice -- 400GT 2+2.

Single wiper car, looks broken since the wiper is straight up on a sunny day.

Probably means "early-ish" Touring car, but just a guess.

Wait a minute -- that HAS to be the same car as just above, right? Same single wiper position? You don't see that too often.

... not 'appear' but : 'is definitively the very same' . No doubt about that.

Great photo (and car, of course) -- thanks Philippe. Some of the Touring numbers around this number have the "double-o" so it's nice to see photographic proof that this is 18034 and not 180034. A long road to confirming them all! :)

Thanks for sharing these pictures and happy to see another one survived the years! I even believe the fog light on the rear is original. As Belgium was one of the first countries where it was required to have a fog light this is a typical feature for “Belgian delivered” cars.

Hey, I was trying to see if the muffler bearings were original.
Nice day, couple of nice Countach and an LM002
