Well, I think this fight is going to be somewhat of a disappointment. Not that it's not a good match up, but that neither of these guys have much heart. I expect the first to go down will probably stay down or it'll get waved off by the referee pretty quick.

Yes. I guess I'll take Klitschco by mid round stoppage, but I hope it goes the other way.

Would be nice to see Haye back his trash talk up, but I doubt it somehow. :D

I watched the last round of this fight earlier on and heard the commentators say it was an exciting 12 rounds of boxing.

Possibly the best fight of both their careers they reckon. Shame I only caught the last round, the fight started at an odd time being in Germany.

Klitschko dominated on points, but the last round looked closer than what it may have been.

Congrats to the big man. He and Vitali have now "unified" the heavyweight belts. It was their dream apparently. :D

Crap, that stunk, and Haye walks away with $15m. That was obviously what he was fighting for. Why don't they structure these purses so the winner gets a 70-30% split. These guys have no heart, guts or motivation to win.

You've got to be kidding! Who said it was exciting? That was the biggest let down to a hyped fight I've ever experienced in 20 years. Europeans must be easily impressed. It was a disgrace is what it was.

    The heavyweight championship is dead.

I think that the USA could produce some talented heavyweight boxers, but nobody seems to be really interested in that.

Haye had his big mouth and he didn´t take any risks to hit Wladimir. Wladimir fought how he has used to fight up to now. That was just boring and somehow hilarious.

Sorry to compare prime boxers with recent boxers, but like op said, I miss historical events with prime Mike Tyson.

Just let´s hope that Adamek could offer something. He seems to hit more and more. He could make a serious show.

$15M for Haye? Easy money. :D:D

I heard one of the commentators on the live feed I was watching say it. :)

Did you watch the fight did you? I only caught the last round and it didnt look pretty. I just assumed it was a good fight from the comments made. :)

The score card made it look like a Klitschko blow-out. :D

Kimbo Slice thinks so too. ;);)

    http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=6718666

"Kimbo has been in Los Angeles area training for this for almost three months," Shaw said. "I don't know how far he can go, but I know he's very strong and powerful. I know the heavyweight division is weak at this moment in time, so it gives him an opportunity. He's never been in against top echelon boxers, so that story is still untold.

We will see what happens. :D:D

It sounds like we need to bring Lennox Lewis out of retirement to give the Klitschko bro's some competition.:eek:

I don´t expect anything from Kimbo.

In my opinion, the real hope is Deontay Wilder.

I have never heard of Deontay.

After some research, I still dont know who he is and I cant remember him from any fights. :D:D

He is undefeated AND a big boy. Give him 10 more fights and he may be ready to take on the Klitschko's. :D:D

For $15 Mill, id be Klitschko's human boxing bag for the rest of my life, let alone 12 rounds.:eek:

If I were Haye, id push for a rematch to have one more crack at the big man and to set myself up for life with another $15 Mill pay check! :D:D

I always thought Hatton's training regime was bizarre. He'd get so overweight (for a professional boxer) with unhealthy eating in between bouts and then suddenly whip himself into shape in the immediate run-up to a fight. It wasn't his only oddity, he was certainly a character. :)

It's a shame he's done, but perfectly understandable. It was a hell of a fight to go out on. Pacquiao just destroyed him in Round 2...

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Edit: Heeeey... sneaky video edit there PAP. :D You beat me to it while I was searching for a clip. :p

Anybody catch last nights Rodriguez Wolak fight on ESPN. Talk about old school fighting. The perfect combination of a ref that let them fight, a doctor that butted out, and two guys with tremendous heart. That doesn't happen very often but when it does, it makes the sport great again.
