Here ya go The details LOW PRESSURE (ALTITUDE) TEST Testing Criteria: In accordance with MIL-STD-810G, Method 500 Procedure I, (3) G-Shock watch models, GXW-56 were placed into a pressure test chamber and subject to the following: Pressure: 57.2kPa (8.29PSIA) - equivalent to 4,572m (15,00ft) Temperature: +23.5°C (74.3°F) Duration: 1 Hour After 1 hour the pressure chamber was brought to ambient site level pressure (14.7 PSIA) and a visual and operational inspection was executed. Results: All (3) watches passed visual and operational inspection with no signs of damage. HIGH TEMPERATURE TEST Testing Criteria: In accordance with MIL-STD-810G, Method 501 Procedure I, (3) G-Shock watch models, GXW-56 were placed into a high temperature test chamber and subject to the following: Temperature: +65.5°C (149.9°F) Duration: 4 Hours After 4 hours the high temperature chamber was brought to station ambient temperature and a visual and operational inspection was executed. Yep, I've never owned one but they are great watches. One thing helping their popularity I suspect is their size; IIRC they have always been chunky and right now big is in. My Ironman circa '93 looks like a kids watch next to these things. The whole athletes/musicians thing is a bit annoying to me. I ck'd out their website several months ago and I thought I was watching a MTV awards show. They were marketing to the fad, not to the group that helped build the brand. That said, just ck'd it out again and no issues.
