Need suggestion for a cable in the center console

    My electrical problem has grown and now I need some suggestions on what to do with the cable connected to the vents. A hot wire must have touch something in my console causing the casing wrapped around the cable that runs one of the levers to it's vent it controls to melt half the length. Sorry for half ass technical explanation... ;)

    The cable wire is fine but the plastic casing needs to be replace. Can I replace just the casing or do I need to replace the entire wire/casing? Keeping you guys busy lately... thanks.

    You could replace only the shield but don't understand why. The cable must come free first and better grade (less friction) cables are preferred. See your bike shop. Plan on replacing all of them.
