The factory radio in my 355 GTS just stopped working (all of a sudden). I checked the obvious like basic connections and the fuse for the radio - nothing, its just dark. Am I missing anything? I have tried chicken bones already.

I'm down with that but like the fact it has the original (working) radio. Sadly- I think mine may be dead.

Wish I knew more about the electronics. I'm sure someone here will chime in with some *useful* advice, though. :)

If u checked car fuse.. Also check the back side of the stereo deck to see if it has an additional fuse in the unit.

Unplug the wiring harness from back of stereo and check to make sure you are getting voltage with a meter... If u have voltage then you probably have an issue with the deck. Complete power loss in a stereo is very often an easy fix for a technician. Take it to a local electronics shop for them to give you an estimate to repair.

If the rthe stock sony units is dead and your fuses are good I can look at the radio for you but more than likely the main proccesor chip is out and they are no longer availiable...

What model number is the Sony deck?

We perform warranty and non-warranty repairs for Sony of Canada - including car audio. (mtcservice.com) Prob not cost effective to ship me your deck but If you require a non-current part I may be able to help.
