Can anyone tell me what lower cost alternative a/c condenser coil and brake MC I could use in place of factory original? I have a 1984 308 GTSi QV and the a/c unit (according to the previous owner) is a York.

You can rebuild the original MC with new seals. I did it myself for about $60. I'm not sure there's a cheaper alternative than that. I tried to buy a new one, but gave up after two in a row were defective.

Viper, Where did you get the seals? My mechanic says they found someplace to rebuild it, but beginning to see a lot of $$$$ adding up without an offer of other alternatives.

If you dont want to do the work yourself, remove the M/C and send to White Post Restorations. They bore out the housing and sleeve with stainless so it also lasts longer. They did mine last winter and works fine. Turned it around inside a week as well.
As others have said you can buy the parts from Superformance out of the UK cheap.

eBay. It's quite simple to replace the seals once you get the mc removed.
