Hey guys, I have installed some test pipes on my '91 348ts. I will be posting up the install shortly. When I removed the original cats, I was surprised to find that they were completely gutted. I am not talking about just ramming a pipe through them. They are completely empty except for a small steel lip that sticks out from one side on the inside. Other than that they are cleaned out. Since we no longer have emmision inspections here in Oklahoma, I have no need for them. So if anyone out there is looking for a set of gutted cats that look stock, you can have them if you pay for the shipping. Another Brotherhood member is helping me out with an exhaust system so I am trying to pay it forward. Just let me know if you are interested in them. Thanks! Todd

Interesting... did you notice any difference between your gutted cats and test pipes?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Hey Andrew, I am in the middle of putting together a post about the test pipe install. Since the cats were gutted, there was not the difference I was expecting from a stock cat but I am very happy with them. I made a video before the install and I will make a second one tonight for the before and after. I have been putting some time on the test pipes before posting up about them. ;)

Not really. Since my cats were already gutted, there wasn't any change in the smell. I know that there is a slight smell of fuel if I stand behind the car but nothing terrible.

The cats on my 355 were completely gutted no evidence there was ever anything else inside them.
Just put on Nouvalari test pipes and the car sounds much better now (Nouvalari super sport already fitted), its lost most of the "boominess" it had and sounds much crisper through the whole rev range.
