That your trunk lid cannot be opened without the key in the ignition and turned on? I'm asking this because my trunk can be opened without the key anywhere near it by just hitting the button. Is this a European and Aussie feature just for us? Rob.
There's an auxiliary pull cable for the engine bay lid, the front bonnet and the fuel filler cap - none of which require the key to be in the ignition. The pull cable for the front bonnet is on the left side of the driver's side foot well; the pull cable for the engine bay lid is underneath the fuel filler cap; someone else needs to chime in as to where the pull cable is for the fuel filler cap as I don't remember (but it might be under the front bonnet or maybe in the engine bay).
My 2007 spider requires key on for hood, glovebox and fuel filler door. Always forget and don't really like it except when top is down and everything is locked automatically, unless the thief knows about the pull cords under the dash.
Another Ferrari mystery. On my 575M, all the exterior lids open with the ignition off. Taz Terry Phillips
