With all the extra HP any issues with the Transmission?
Not sure. When he had the car there was no problem. Sadly he was caught doing 170 mph ( 35 mph spped limit) by the police on one of our main streets. Small town they told him to sell it or they would take the car. Sadly he is in bankrupcy because of the economy just like so many people. He lost his company, home and all but one of his cars. Lee
I'm waiting for one to turn up in my price range. A "project car" would be fine by me as long as the engine and trans were good. While I didn't really care for their looks initially, they have grown on me.
Beware of GT project cars, as mentioned earlier ALOT of these cars were totaled or damaged by inexperienced owners. You can buy a salvage GT for less but its always going to be worth less on resale and unless you have seen the before/during/after pics of the work i'd be wary of driving any high HP car that has had damage in the past...just my view. If you can afford to pay 135k for a salvage car you can afford 160k for a clean car. I've been pleasantly surprised by the GT market as well, but the car is amazing and caters to all groups of people (muscle car fans, exotic car fans, and collectors). In addition theyre not making them anymore and that certainly helps the depreciation profile...here is a pic of mine! 2005 Quicksilver no stripe Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ditto here: I have a 7 car collection and love my Ford GT. The way it feels, handles, steers, brakes, everything about the car is teriffic. It is so well balanced. This car is a keeper. Gets lots of looks on the road too.

BS! Long tube headers most definitely offer much improved sound over an x-pipe. I've had both. A wing? Are you serious? Something tells me it's people like you and this William character that stuff YouTube full of videos of your video game GTs because that's about as close as either of you will ever come to actually owning one.
long tubes will offer a different sound but the stock pipes are quite well engineered for peak efficient. At work, we tell people with supercharger applications that headers wont improve performance for a good reason. 30 years of experience to boot. I'm not aware of any engineered and tested wings available for the GT. At least not without severely altering the gt's style up front ie gt1 2 And 3 racecars. I would not insert any random wing on any car that I own. maybe I wont own one. First things first... William on the hand..
I find William's posts to be informative and entertaining. In fact, I will actually search for them specifically on occasion. He has also been kind of enough to intelligently reply to a few of the questions I have posted on the forum. I don't understand these comments.
He's rebuilt it differently since his accident, see the current R&T for the Bonneville Slat Flats story....
I haven't seen 635 RWHP on anything less than Pully/ custom tune / exhaust. More often, its closer to 605-620 rwhp with a P/T/E modification.
....that's effn funny! ....that would explain your car having such an obnoxiously big red wing eh? LOL j/k
