Oddest thing. Went out to the garage and noticed the testarossa sitting in a huge puddle of oil...under the left front wheel...

    Weird.

Oil goes under the car, but is basically all up front. Wife nicely commented, "Engines in back, right?"

Now I haven't been under my car for a year or two now...but how is this possible?

I carry some extra quarts of oil in the front trunk...but the trunk was oil free...no signs of spillage.

So, what happened? Did my nine year old spill some oil, and just not tell me? Or, can a testarossa real create a puddle under the left front wheel?

Brake Line issue maybe? Clutch master cylinder or lines maybe? How does the oil look, is there a color to it?

Good thoughts. Doesn't look like brake fluid. I will check the clutch reservoir... The car worked perfectly a day ago... If it's the clutch, wouldn't there be a slow drip first?

Too late to investigate today... Bummer.

Weird. Perhaps the oil tank or a line is leaking, and the oil is transported through the sill cover to the left front wheel?

Isn't the oil cooler in the left front behind an airdam duct??

I thought the oil coolers were in back, by the strakes? Or is that just the radiators?

Check your shocks as well. Bilstein shocks do some times leak. Still love the Koni shocks..

Let us know on the problem. Check brake lines as well.. With Testarossa you got to dig for the problem keep digging...

    Ok...mea culpa...

I took everything out of the front trunk... and noticed the spare was dripping in oil (oddly the carpet looks fine?). One of the spare quarts of oil I carry upfront must have sprung a leak... (its 104 degrees out here...). Brake fluid is full, clutch works fine...

It just worked its way down the frame...

The ferrari gods have smiled on this foolish owner :)

LOL! Cheapest fix to a major problem I've ever encountered.

    Nice one!

I carry extra oil too, but I learned a long time ago (as you did this week) to keep quarts of oil in TWO one gallon freezer bags: one inside the other..
And keep a small wipe cloth in there also.
