Where are the spy shots?
I completely agree with you Sbrake, seeing the engine really set the 360,430.and 458 coupe apart. Its not gonna be the same!
The area that I've highlighted in green kind of kills it for me. That section looks way higher than it does on the 430 spider. I'm not necessarily saying that leaving the window looks better - I'm just showing how it would look. Yeah, okay, I like it better that way. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Better wait until you hear the price first... And be prepared to be without a car for a very long time. I really don't think this will effect prices much at all. The 430 spider came out the same time as the 430 coupe and coupe sales still were desired by new car buyers. If it looks like this and the rear window goes down, I'll be very happy! I find it pretty entertaining reading about the speculation on the 458 Spider. When was the last time Ferrari wiffed on a car design? I don't believe for a second that this car will be anything short of beautiful and the top function truly unique. I'm looking forward to seeing it. My $.02
i understand the price in australia will be 12% over the Coupe, you won't see the engine, also the exhaust note has been toned down. Not sure if the salesman meant the engineers have suppressed the loudness to work within official guidelines We've both had 430 Spiders and with the roof down the sound is what it was all about, louder more frenetic.
If I had to guess the pipe will be toned down...... But, there might just be an "optional" pipe available as factory option that is a bit louder. Haha. It must kill the factory to see all those thousands spent on aftermarket pipes all these years when they could charge twice what the aftermarket costs and still a fair percentage would add it as factory option. Just saying Bob
guys it looks similar to the rendering that was last posted. Yes the rear window does go down, the roof works similar to a superamerica.
Personally, I really like the team speed/wild speed rendering. Also notice the rear roster humps come forward almost like a rolling wave, very similar to the Porsche 918 Spyder.
I quite like that! Even though there is not a visible engine cover, it is different, but looks great. -Jared
Told base MSRP in USA will be about $270K, 2012 458 Coupe is about $230K base and the FF is higher than I expected at approx $300k.All include the new maintenance plan.
