I am trying to confirm for Lamda controlled 3X8's, what appears to be a Thermal switch or sender in the coolant expansion tank, in fact what is it's function. If it is a switch is it involved with the cold/warm start function by controlling the CSI or is is purely a temperature sensor. The Ferrari P/N 121777 and it is not a Bosch part.

Hope this helps, Carl,...the thermal switch presents a ground at #7, the violet wire, extending also to #7 of the ECU module.

edit - guess I best add, since it's half your question, the cold start injector (through the tt switch) is the white wire at pin #2.

Somewhat more than then before...so no logic in the thermal switch, just a constant ground or does coolant temp trigger the CSI however through the ECU?

Essentially, I'm attempting to identify the thermal switch connection to cold and hot start conditions.
