We published our Silverstone Classic report and photo gallery, courtesy of Tim Scott / Fluid Images. Given that it's the proclaimed "Worlds Biggest Classic Motor Racing Festival", you can rightfully expect that we have a lot of pictures...and we do. The current count is well over 600 and we're still working through them now.

The good news is that the Italian Historic Car Cup and RAC TT photos are online. That's where you'll find most of the F-cars, including many 512s, 412P, 206SP, 330 GTO, 275 GTBs...

And we need your help ID'ing the last picture below. Our best guess is a Drogo bodied GTO??

There is already a thread for Silverstone Classic. Why a new one?
Can a moderator put both together?

It is "reputedly" an original Drogo body. The car was "reconstructed" by GTO Engineering here in UK about 5 years ago and although the body is likely to be a Drogo original I believe they were unable to definitively prove that so Michael is correct in saying "Drogo-Style".

I love that hard top - never seen anything like it before. Is this a customer creation or did the factory make/design this?

The car is a replica, built by the craftsmen at Neil Twyman, who also designed and built the hardtop.

I didn't see this at last weekend's Silverstone meeting, so assume the pic was taken at the VSCC meeting in April, when the cars new 'look' was debuted.

Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it wasn't there! It was in the paddock on Sunday by the Ecurie Ecosse transporter as you can see in the pictures above.

some historians deny the authenticity of the Drogo-body.

How the heck do you see out of that thing? Look at the gap between the top of the steering wheel and the top of the screen. Looks cool though. Not anywhere near as cool as a GTE but there's no accounting for taste.

most probably only 2349GT 's number used.
Easier to make a TR chassis from scratch.

All Neil's TR's (three?) had a scratch built chassis.
