    Hi Guys,

So I got my Capristo Exhaust today and am debating whether or not its worth getting it installed or just installing it myself.

Cost of getting it installed is 450$ Taxes in. However, if I opt do it myself I save 450$ but I get to learn how its done :)

How much of a pain is it to do this at home, using jacks? Is it not worth the headache and better to just cough up the 450 bones and omit the learning curve on this one?

Read through the following threads to get acquainted with the process...seems more time consuming then difficult.

Exactly. Do it yourself, bond with your car, and spend the $450 on fun a track day.

Depends how mechanically inclined you are. If you are good with tools and understand mechanics, then it is a simple 1 hour job. If you are not particularly apt at mechanical engineering, then I would just have someone else do it.

If you have some tools then its an easy job, take your time and you could have it fitted in under half a day working at a nice leisurely pace:)

Installing my Capristo was the first work I did myself on my 355. The hardest and most time consuming aspect was finding a cap/plug for the little threaded port. Perhaps your 355 needs this, but mine (july 94 build) did not and I had a difficult time finding the right size. You may want to locate this before starting if you need it.

Atta boy, a wise decision...especially since you will have your pops watching over you, but you shouldn't have any trouble.

    So is it on?

I had no issues installing my (glorious sounding) Mille Miglia. It was the first "wrenching" I performed on my F355.

So I'm almost done, just need to do a few minor adjustments, put the air intakes back on and heat shield and viola :) I had a lot of real work to do the last two days but finally got to it last night. Should be able to wrap it up sometime today.

NICE! That will sound incredible, I would put that right even with my Mille Miglia in terms of tone and volume.

    You will love it.
