Yes, I'll be there Saturday. I just can't play both days... Giving the car a quick cleaning tonight. I'll be in GB by 8:15 Eric
Andrew... Not at Starbucks Farmington but at the driving range in front of Tunxis golf course across from the second Dunkin Donuts (next to Edrick dry cleaning)
Just so we dont forget someone... who's hooking up in Gbury... Mike, Olin, Eric, ..., ... Who's in Farmington... Lane, Andrew, ..., ... Burlington... Jay, Frank, ... Charles, Pat???
I think there is another group meeting up at starbucks farmington. This is what i was told by pete dipstick.
What a day!!! no question the best time I've had at LRP, especially including the drive up. Unfortunately the Gopro cam fogged up somehow so the video isn't fun to watch. Jay in pic 4 out of 5, the two vintage cars in the right hand turn....is the second car driving with the left front tire rolled off of the inside bead? It looks like I see the inside of the rim, but I can't tell?
Lane is correct, those are the brakes... These guys were pushing the Alfa's, making adjustments through every turn. Check the camber and where those front tires are pointing...they're just dancing all around. The guys who raced these things back in the day on rough tracks had some BALLS.
It was amazing watching the geometry of the Alfas' front ends -- big change to positive camber in the turns, and the tires dithering all around. Courage.
Thank you Jay, your shots are awesome aswell. Too bad I didn't get to meet you Saturday! The chance of finding your 355 there was like a needle in a haystack, Fcars everywhere! Totally agree on your comment about the design, they went back to the curvy sexy roots of Ferrari. I don't think my F-Cars are coming out to play this weekend. The weather is not looking good. The TR photoshoot for the GNX comparo is also being cancelled for Sunday due to the weather.
Also present and accounted for. Between work and cutting down trees in the evenings, not much spare time. Hoping the 40% chance of rain predicted for Sunday is a non-issue... need my Glastonbury coffee. "Rage against the dying of the light!!!!" Lane, I think we need to go up on our respective garage roofs, grunting and howling at the dying embers of the day! Charles
