    Norma VdeV car from Europe.

Runs as a CSR in SCCA in USA.

Car has a Honda (Acura) K20 motor, which is what is in the Acura RSX.

    Power: 260ish BHP

6 Speed sequential box with flat shift. (Very cool)

Weighs about 1250 lbs or so.

Very fast (faster than me!) and sticks like glue.

I dunno. It still looks like the wash tub special. Does it spin around while you drive? :)

Just curious. What is a flat shift box?

    Dale,

Yea, a full up wash tub special. Even has a rinse cycle switch!

And flat shift means you do not lift off of gas or use clutch on upshifts. Just pull back on shift lever while keeping gas pedal planted. The gearbox has a strain gauge sensor on the shift mechanism that "reads" when you are about to shift and cuts the engine spark for a certain amount of milliseconds while gearchange occurs.

I have a 24-26 foot long enclosed trailer and haul it with an F150 p/u truck. It is a 5.4 liter gas motor but pulls the whole package quite well.

I would prefer a diesel but maybe next year....

Cool beans. We kinda, sorta used to do the same thing on bikes. You would breath it a ****'s hair on the throttle and bang a shift. With practice, you could even do it on downshifts. Of course, we had sequential gearboxes and all that.

BTW, my dirty clothes are piling up. Can I bring them over? Pretty cool idea, though, using kinetic energy to do laundry. I betcha big Al, as in Al Gore, would be interested.

    yea..!!

Now days mechanism of products become more & more electrics, so we just have to push button & rest is done automatically. But this functionality become problematic in emergency periods and driver stuck in big problems.

I was saddened to learn that lmpdesigner was injured and the Norma that is the subject of this thread heavily damaged. Best to try and contain all information there, but thought that many might not be aware.

So glad to hear he is going to be okay... The radical thread from the lasy week or so had some foreshadowing regarding the disparity in vehicle types. :(

    Hope Brian recovers and quickly.

This incident is why we're avoiding open cockpit cars.

    Sorry to hear the news.

That feeling will last until your first race, when you will immediately be certain that you are down 10hp and the front/rear is washing out/losing grip on entry/exit/mid-corner/over bumps, and frantically start making adjustments.

Always try going softer first. JMHO YMMV :D
