Tried 5 guys over the weekend......gotta say Mooya spanked 'em. The burger was a good burger, but nothing really stood out. The southern smokehouse bacon burger at chilli's is better, simply for the bacon. I was very unimpressed by the fries and price for quality. Mooya still my first choice.

In n out......meh. <JITB Ultimate bacon cheese burger on sourdough insert homer j slobbering and noises.

As long as this has become a burger review thread . . .

The Love Shack in downtown Denton has freaking excellent burgers. Try a Dirty Love burger.

I'd pass on the grilled pickles, though. Served cold and really not to my taste at all.

Tillman, go check out the Ronnie Spears Band at the Denton Love Shack sometime.
He is a buddy of my estimator and I got to sit in with them at a 50th birthday party.
They are a lot of fun.

I don't think you can compare a fast food burger with a restaurant burger. Maybe it's just me, but I keep them in 2 categories. If it has a drive through, it's fast food. The best burgers, IMO:

    Fast Food:
    1. In N Out
    2. Steak 'n Shake
    3. Whataburger

Dine in, my list is long:

    1. Snuffers
    2. The Keg
    3. Islands 2 in Plano
    4. Twisted Root
    5. JC's Burger House
    6. Smashburger
    7. 5 guys

It might be time to schedule a monthly burger lunch....

    Fast Food:
    1. Whataburger
    2. Sonic
    3. In N Out

Dine in, my list is short:

    1. Twisted Root
    2. Angry Dog

But I will try and go to the oethers Jimpo suggested and give fedback.

I really don't eat a lot of fast food burgers so my list is extremely limited.

    1. Burger Street

I'm a fan of dine in places & Fort Worth has a lot of them so trying to come up with a top 5 list was a bit difficult.

    1 Love Shack
    2 Fred's Texas
    3 Magnolia Motor Lounge
    4 M&O Station Gril
    5 Jake's

I'm surprised by the absence of Airways in Arlington on any of your lists, and from DFW.com's bracket this year.

Just NorthWest of JerryWurld is a place the cooks their burgers on an open grill with actual charcoal. Fan-Frikkin-TASTIC.
It's next to Arby's, on the West side of Collins.

It's a "flyover 'hood", but landing for Airways makes it worth the layover. :p

Couldn't happen to a nicer franchise.

She (Wendy) tried to kill me about 15 years ago and I haven't set foot in one since.

Three days of intense nausea and vomiting brought on by e-coli and other related pathogens usually referred to as "food-poisoning"...

Docs said a lawsuit would go nowhere, but to stay away from the B#@%^, as this wasn't the first case they had seen from that location!!

Next week maybe, I follow Bud Kennedy on FB & he's giving various updates. Friends that work around there are upset out about the traffic impact opening week is going to cause. I'll get photos of it as it happens.

Please bow your heads for a moment of silence. I can't BELIEVE I forgot to list this place, but it's away from my normal haunts and I didn't get there much.

Who's Who Burgers in Highland Park Village is gone. They made a seriously good burger. I was in the area last week and went out of my way to go get one. It's being made into some other kind of store that only Highland Park people need.

    It's a sad day.

LOL... well, kind of related; Las Colinas. Doeas anybody go there either?

On my drive into work this morning I noticed a sign that was in front of some new construction happening on my side of town. Another In & Out Burger is being built at Royal & MacArthur. It looks like I'll finally break down and give it a try soon.

I'm heading to College Station with my daughter in a couple weeks and want to know where the closest InO is on 35W. Any help would be appreciated.
