DON'T KNOW WHY WE BOTHER,BUT WILL POST PHOTOS OF DATE CODES LATER---THEY ARE FLAT SPOTTED ,BUT THEY HOLD AIR JUST FINE---GUESS MOST OF YOU HAVE NEVER HAD A TIME CAPSULE FIND....TO BAD......THEY ARE FUN TO PLAY WITH
1. TURN OFF THE FREAKING CAPS KEY. 2. You brought this on yourself by posting here among a group of VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE Dino people. 3. If you only give bits and pieces of info, you're gonna get grilled for more. 4. Why not just post the VIN and take all the guesswork out of it. 5. Yup, wealthy guys ship their cars back and forth between New Hampshire and Texas, TO STORE THEM, all the time. clearly, these cars were not purchased to drive, they were purchased to show, store and allow to waste away. I highly doubt that the guy re-upped the NH registration until 1989, THEN stopped. Your story has more holes in it that a box full of donuts. Why not just fill in the blanks, tell us you're a dealer, that the car is going to Mecum, etc? Only reason I can see is to get as much FREE PUBLICITY as possible for the car here. So, to that, I say pffft! No more posts from me in this thread to push it back to the top of the forum. BUT I think we'd all like answers to our reasonable questions, which they all are. D
I thought that I knew what was going on in this thread. Now I have no clue. Post the VIN number......

If you only give bits and pieces of info, you're gonna get grilled for more. Beyond stored for 30 years--where it was bought new---and the condition of the vehicle, there isn't much to add. But here is a photo of the data plate. 4. Why not just post the VIN and take all the guesswork out of it. posted. 5. Believe they were driven till he put them away in 79(according to the attorney that handled the sale). When the owner left the country they were moved to his place in Texas. They were not used from 79 till we pulled them from the storage in Texas. Have a Jelly Donut on us, while you research the vin#. Let us know what you find. No more guesswork. We sold them a couple months ago----Terry at LMC got them ready. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well there ya go. That didn't hurt TOO much, did it? Thx, From all the serial number hungry doubters.
#08272 was produced in May 74 and delivered in Rosso Chiaro 20-R-19 / TABACCO VM846 so the pictures make sense... known ownership history so far: 197? until 1977 Howard O`Flynn (?, USA), 1974 until 197? John H. Mc Geary (Miami, FL, USA) makes sense too....
They really did clean up nicely, but I never could afford the "store them away to make some money" mentality. My TransAm is no doubt worth something, being only 128 made that year...but it shows 151,667.4 miles. That's a lot of runs up and down thru that 6 speed Muncie.....
Can't give you guys to much info--you go look in books and the guy that wrote them gets it wrong. We bought them from Howard O'Flynn thru his Attorney. No one else ever owned it. Good stuff to have with your Dino. Image Unavailable, Please Login
USING BOLD TYPE IS NOT THE SAME THING AS BEING BOLD. And, in the words of Shakespeare, "Donuts, like revenge, is a dish best served cold." Or something like that, D
Someone hit a nerve. It ain't the floor you're on, but rather how you treat those on the floors both above and below you that makes the difference. You just never know what "floor" a guy here is on. Best to treat them all like potential customers, rather than potential floor mats. D
This post was started because a member asked for it. No other reason. We have no more hold on the cars since were sold weeks ago. Thought the members would get some enjoyment out of this, without all the csi chatter and anything was available that was asked for, that we could furnish. Been messing with the Ferrari marque a very long time. Haven't had one like this since 74. here is the last photo. You have seen the rest. This was only started for info and entertainment. $19000 seems like huge money for a dino in 1974. thought that was daytona pricing since those cars were hard to move. ed
Excuse me for being skeptical --- and damaging your ability to use this forum as your own personal advertising campaign to sell these cars. There is no way you can stop the effects of oxygen on rubber, leather, aluminum, gas and fluids, and paint -- unless you were in a vacuum chamber.
Wait. They just "happened" to "accidently" show a Cal Spyder in the background and its fake? HAHAHAAAHAHAAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHA AHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH ahaHAHAAHAHAHHAH hAHAHHAHAHHHAHA wheeeew... Image Unavailable, Please Login
There are a lot better ways to have done it. We have LOTS of great picture threads, replete with car history, find history, and awesome pix. Your thread comes off as a "pump and dump" ad campaign. You had a lot of good material but chose a pretty shady way to present it. Jedi
I find the whole story interesting and as a car enthusiast you should too. Thats a poor comment in my opinion.
