    Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary of buying my '97 F355B. It has been a wonderful first year of Ferrari ownership with no disappointments. I put just over 2000 miles on the car and it ran flawlessly. I made a few upgrades along the way (lowered/balanced the suspension, Mille Miglia exhaust, Serie Speciale seats) all of which have moved the car that much closer to perfection. I have done two track events and even on the old tires it handled incredibly. I have spent $15 for a CV boot and I now need to pay $176 for the torn rubber window guide on the driver door but other than that the only running costs have been oil and new tires both of which are consumables. I will be performing a major sometime before this time next year and I'm looking forward to getting to know the car even more. If I were forced to sell I feel I could break even especially if I sold the mods separately.


    So the answer is "YES!" You can buy a Ferrari and drive it for a year and not be tempted to perform sepuku.

    I look forward to many more years with my boyhood dream.

    i was just about to post the same thing. i have owned my 355 car for almost a year and put on 6000 miles. i have fixed one cat (recored)new 02 because threads came off, replaced left side rear inner cv boot. oil change/filter,gas and wax. still runs like a top no cel lights. 32,599 miles. My toyota had more problems.

    Congrats to both of you! I am at about the 2 1/2 year mark on my 348. Although I have had to do a few small things to get her right (rebuild the MAF units to clear CELs), I enjoy working on her as much as driving. ;) I have also added some upgrades as well. I still get a thrill when I walk out into the garage. :D Feel the passion!

    Thanks! I was torn between an F355 (my longtime dream) and a 348 SS because of those awesome F40 seats. I ended up going with my gut and bought my F355 and then found that elusive pair of seats and ended up with both, couldn't be happier.
