No mate. It's like those charging stations for mobiles now where you just place it on top without cables. So, you probably drive over a docking station & it'll charge up your car battery without cables & if they can implement it on roads then..... When I was young, I always have a thought about future transport. Think about magnets having opposite polars that repels each other. So you build magnetic roads that actually repel your vehicle, making it float which then just need a propulsion so you'd do away with rubber tyres! Well, how to prevent metals from sticking onto the road is another matter Speaking of this. A Ferrari engineer told me that there's this battery tender which you just pluck onto the bumper of your car using "magnet" to charge it & if you forgot then drove off, it'll just drop off without pulling the bits but nobody over here seems to have installed it. Something like a Macbook.
