Ferrari don't want him unless he grows up and learns to calculate his moves, rather than react and over-react to every situation. He can't be number 2, and why would alonso want to have the aggro of a team mate who tries to run him off the road at every opportunity

Domencalli stated this is an idea that will not happen. Now on to the next silly season rumor.

I can't wait. There will be a ton of them. I can easily make up a few of my own:

    - Button retires => empty seat at McLaren to fill
    - Ferrari kicks Massa out => empty seat at the Scuderia
    - Heidfeld goes to DTM => empty seat at Renault (very likely)
    - RB wants fresh blood and sends Webber into retirement

Imagine all the possibilities this will unleash just amongst the top teams and their drivers.

2 Prima donna's at Ferrari. It would explode.

Also 2 of my least favourite 'top' drivers in my supposed favorite team. It'll be awkward...

I was thinking about one of the Sauber boys replacing Massa for 2012 but that sadly ain´t gonna happen.

However I did read an article yesterday which stated, that Domenicali wants to replace Massa for 2013 with a young and upcoming driver. So this scenario might only be delayed by a year.

Add Schumi seat to that. I posted a link about that today. He is re-evaluting his 'future' :)

FA is quoted as saying he is happy Massa is there. Why push him out. Its Scuderia Alonso to begin with :)

*IF* he quits at the end of this season, that would open another interesting seat in the transfer carousel. Then again, he said he is not sure, whether he is right for this team, which could be read as if he wants to go someplace else. A team that is more relaxed. Virgin Racing? Lotus? HRT?

    Let the rumors fly! :)

I sometime confuse Senna and Hamilton as they are both from Brazil and therefore wear yellow helmets.

Other than that I bring to Fchat British mandated FIA rubber stamped news about canopies.

I don't think Hamilton would be a good fit at Ferrari. He's already got a team built around him at McLaren, so I really have difficult imagining him choosing to go to another team. If he ever leaves, I think it'll be because McLaren have found another driver they would prefer, rather than Hamilton has found another team. He's synonymous with McLaren.

I suspect Alonso is just playing mind-games with Hamilton. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

That will sure be end of the production cycle for MP4-12C... Use motor vehicle. The junk's value is being clearly indicated by the sales so far.

Alonso and Massa are the dream team... except when...
    - it rains
    - or the pit crew mess up
    - or the management strategy interferes with victory
    - or there are technical faults with the car
    - or the tire compound selection does not suit the car
    - or the red bulls are faster than the Ferraris
    - or the FIA keep changing the rules

With all due respect, nonsense! (IMOSHO ;))

It turns out that KobyCrashy, who hasn't IMO proven to be very quick, pulled off just 13 overtakes all last season. 5 of the moves were at Valencia & Suzuka.....

Even Phil managed more than that, ranking 2nd behind
    .
    .
    .
    Sooty! :)

I like Koby, but there is no way he's an improvement over Phil IMO.

    Cheers,
    Ian

The only replacement for Massa is realistically a rookie like... Jules Bianchi. He is already 23 though, so we are getting to the stage whether he is a go or no go pretty soon.

Well, Massa does have the advantage of a much faster car. It's always easier to overtake in a faster car. And the reason Massa gets to overtake so much is that he has qualified and started relatively poorly in relation to Alonso.

I'm afraid the only way we'd get a proper assessment of the two of them is by getting them both into a comparably paced car. Just as a casual observation, Kobayashi does seem much more aggressive - wanting the overtake - and Massa seems comparatively conservative in that he tries just take the points where he can get them easily secured.

I think Kobayashi would certainly liven things up a bit. It'd be interesting to see how he would do at Ferrari. If I was in charge, I'd certainly try to get him a test in the 2011 car at the season's end.

    All the best,
    Andrew.
