That's a wonderfull car, it deserves a new owner who will take care of it as well as the current one and who will play more with it...

The Islero is one that Gary recently restored. It is a beautiful car. I'm not a fan of the contrasting piping, and white is a painful interior color to keep clean, but it is a good looking car.

As to the IRL, be aware that you have to pay to see the information, once you contribute it. So even though you submit information on a car (perhaps even your own), you will not be able to see it unless you pay. I think it is fundamentally unfair that the information is not freely accessible by the very people who contributed the information. Defenders will say that it takes time to manage the information, host the web site, etc. While that is true, the site exists and is valuable because of the contribution of people who must now pay to use the site to see the very information they provided. In my view, contributors should be provided some (free) access in exchange for their contribution. Keep this in mind if you intend to send in information (to who's benefit is the contribution?). I've not asked that my copyrighted material be removed, but I have thought about it.

How did you come to the conclusion that the car used does not have A/C? The film does not show a enough of the area in front of the passenger to determine if the A/C unit is in place.

Also I am not so sure that the car has Senape color leather. I believe it may be closer to a creame or very light tan color which is the color of the dash panel around the Speedo & Tach. The first picture is of 6267 with Senape and the second picture is of #6243 which was built with Senape leather but has a light tan color surrounding the Speedo and Tach.

Here are two photos one with the Senape and one with the Light tan. How many Isleros were built in Bronzo Scurro with that color interior. Also could we all be wrong about the car being Bronzo Scurro? Could it actually be Nicciola? Photos Nicciola, Bronzo Scurro.

The Islero always had a reputation for poor build quality. In the video from Vedo Nudo take a look at the over spray in the close up on the rear wheel well at 13:56 of the video. This was a brand new car.

    Hi Arnoud,
You made a quick sale of your #6183... http://www.finecars.cc/en/detail/car/135930/index.html

Can you tell us if the buyer is on this board ? European or outside EEC ? Still in UK ? in order to ask him to join our Islero community...

125k US isn't out of line. The biggest problem is how much work will it take to correct those fender flairs? You've got to paint at least 4 panels. I don't know why this wasn't done when the car was painted from Red to Silver.

Remember at Monterey an Islero S that was a bit tired did 135k and the one on ebay last week in Black primer with interior out of the car did $73k.

from my experience with my #6009, it should not cost more than 8000 $ to fix the flairs and then respray it.

While they may not match how the factory did them, what is especially poor about how they were shaped? I have a hard time considering the redo worth it. If you're worried about originality they should be eliminated I believe.

The car is at 96k with a day left of the auction. The seller ran the car as a "Private Auction" which makes it harder to evaluate if the bids are legitimate.
