Does your $79,000 asking price include a fresh major? It is due for one, and at that price it certainly should include one...just my humble opinion Edit: I just saw your post of "major was done a few miles early" - do you mean it was just done recently?
Anyone in Canada looking for a pretty good deal on a 355 I have one for sale with 36,200K for $50,000 Canadian firm. Its a 1997 in grey titanium, U.S. car from Florida. Has a Tubi exhaust installed, sounds great. I won't BS anyone. The service is real sketchy on this car and the reason I am selling it at a fair price so you can have it serviced. The car runs fine as is. I replaced both CV boots on the gearbox side and fixed a small gear oil leak. Replaced the gasket on the gearbox. No more leak. I bought the tool kit and car cover along with seat covers for it. Brand new tires on it. If I decide to keep it. Anyone in the Toronto area that can service my 355 or knows someone that can help me out and save me a few bucks let me know. Here are a few pics. I'm still in the market for a Pre-owned F355, 6 speed manual. I tried to buy Sunburn's car, but couldn't make a deal. I would prefer a coupe, but would consider a Spider if it was the right one at the right price. Not too picky about colors, but first choice would be any of the reds. I know there are cars on Ferrari ads, eBay, auto trader. If anyone has any leads on a well maintained car, preferably with a fresh major, clutch, exhaust issues addressed, sticky parts repaired, etc... And has documentation for the above, please let me know. I am located in Naples FL, and would like to try and find one on the East Coast, or as local as possible, I despise the flight to CA. Thanks in advance... Emilio P.S: is the Ferrari Market Letter worth looking at?
At the time I was looking, over the course of a few months there were very few berlinetta or gts 355's listed on Ferrari market letter.
I just bought a 16M and will be selling my F355 Spider. I'll never get back what I've invested in the car but would like the car to go to someone that will at least appreciate what I wasted all that money on. Car has just over 9200 miles, extremely well serviced and maintained. Serviced at Ferrari of Beverly Hills. I'm not the original owner. I bought the car from Miller Motorcars in Feb. 2009. Car had just over 6200 miles then. New Clutch in 2010. All of the interior bits have been refinished (thank's Robbie) or replaced. Lots of carbon updates (center console, Radio/Instrument Surround, Instrument Cluster, Door pulls and Sills) CS Steering Wheel (I also have the original steering wheel) Brembo/Ferrari Big Brakes (yellow calipers) Factory Challenge Sway Bars (F&R) Performance Springs (F&R) HRE Full Carbon Wheels (like Dymag) with Gunmetal Centers PZero Corsa tires I also have the Factory 5-spokes with original tires Capristo R Exhaust system (I also have the original exhaust) I'll upload some pics as soon as I can find the camera. I'm not sure what the car is worth but am definitely open to a reasonable discussion about price. If anyone is interested, please shoot me an email at [email protected] or call my cell 805.680.0526. Thanks, Rob
Dropping my price down to $45,000 for my 1997 355. Page 50 post 999. Located in Canada for you Canadiens.
I guess my ad expired... Yes, it's still for sale, but just not listed anywhere. I just got tired of the tire kickers and loads of inquiries that I knew weren't serious. I honestly don't have time for the car anymore. She just sits. That's ok I guess, she's paid for, and only cost me $50 a month in insurance. I'll just enjoy looking at her each day in my garage as I get in my DD. If anyone is a serious buyer, please PM me your phone number and we can chat.
Good question. I am still looking. Realistically I foresee it taking somewhere within two years. I feel for the kind of car I am looking for, it will take a while. It is no secret that I am obsessed with this car. I want one so bad it hurts. But I know that once I buy one, I am stuck with it for life. I can never sell her, because I will give her my unconditional love and affection- so I much choose wisely. I want to cruise and enjoy the "thrill of the hunt". She will be found. I will make damn sure that she will be worth the wait.
