Wow, great video and great music, nicely done. I will definitely attend this year.
I am still looking for cars this years event. In fact I will make it entirely a Ferrari class if I get enough of them! If you can bring your car to the concours please fill out an application for selection, we are developing a lot of new goodies and souvenirs for you to take home this year and the event is free for those who are displaying their car. http://www.salisburyconcours.com/about/application/
If you send in your application for the 430 I can easily change the car to something else if you upgrade.
I have applied numerous times to have my Ferrari at the Salisbury show only to be told that it wasn't a good fit. That folks would rather look at the GM (stuff) of Harley Earl. Really? So I stopped applying. Now it looks like F-cars are wanted? Which is it?
I MUST HAVE a fire distinguisher place behind my left front tire...? I don't own one. Does that disqualify me and my TdF 355 from entering?
I would recommend calling Paul Swartzel and/or Stan Reeg. They are the heads of the FCA there (they are both in Iowa) and know "an owner or two" of exotics in your state.
I started an exotics class last year which they enjoyed and the public loved. Before last year your Ferrari may not have fit into the other classes. The types of cars that are accepted change each year. I believe there have been four Ferraris on display in the past years. Two years ago they were looking for steam and microcars which are not likely to be accepted now this year. Also note that just because your car was not accepted in one year that does not mean it will not be considered the next. We can't take all of the cars and if two cars fit well together or there are duplicates then some cars will have to be displayed in an upcoming year. I for one (although not everyone on the board) believes that a car should not be shown more than once in a five year period to allow others to bring different cars and to keep those of us in charge of finding the cars from getting lazy and not brining in new people to the show.
Here is the video from the driving tour that I promised! http://www.salisburyconcours.com/heartland-driving-tour/
Last chance, I have several applications from Ferrari owners, I will have put the class together soon so send in those applications if you would like your car to be on display.
Ron its french judging not concours points based judging. My TR has a few chips in the Chin spoiler because I love driving it which with this group is definitely appreciated.
The show is this Sunday September 11th and we will have the largest collection of vehicles we have ever at 147 vehicles.
