Bill Harrah entered 330P4 #0860 in the 1967 Riverside Can-Am. It was driven by Chris Amon and came in 8th. I understand that Jim Hall came in second driving a Chaperral2G. Does anyone know who won this race? How long and where else did Harrah race this car? What happened to it?

1967 Riverside CamAm was won by Bruce McLaren in a McLaren M6A. Chris Amon drove #23 , #0860 to 8th place. Jonathan Williams drove #27, #0858, DNF, crash. #0860 is in France with P. Bardinon, #0858 is with Walter Medlin and subject to IRS sale periodically.....keep saving your pennies for the sale.

At that time it was a 350 Can Am. Wound up with Bardinon. Rebodied back to a 350 P4 but not with it's original body which is on Pipers 0900.

am i mistaken, or are the P-cars the cars with the most interchanged parts in the history of ferrari?
looks like they all changed chassis, engine,, gearbox, body... with each other

and how many of them have been in the hands of david piper?

No all race cars are like this but for some reason with most others, people like to play 'head in the sand' and pretend that their car came from God just like it is now ...

Read a little about 250LM's and you will see that they are a little more honest too.

In the photo, that's Jonathan Williams in the striped shirt and shades on the left.

He's notable for having driven only one Grand Prix..............in a works Ferrari.

I understand from the IRS Tax Auction press clippings regarding Walter Medlin's 330 P4 that his car is being held by the folks who restored it, and Mr. Medlin has yet to pay his tab and pick up the car. Can it be viewed at the shop it currently resides, and where is it?

Its a little bit more complicated than that, to put it lightly. Car should still be at Harley Cluxton's shop in Scottsdale, AZ, or at least that was where it was the last I heard.

I'd love to see the car in-person - I wonder if Mr. Cluxton has permission to show it....

    an old thread reborn:

i found this interesting picture of Pierre Bardinon with a P4 - but:

    - what s/n is it?
    - was 0860 ever bodied as Berlinetta in Bardinon´s ownership?
    - the sidewindow looks a bit odd with the dark frame.
    - what car is that?

who can bring light into this?

    Hello Michael,
Your photo should be 0848 (a Berlinetta) before PB sold her to Perfetti.

0860 was born a 330 P4 Berlinetta and then converted by Ferrari to a 350 Can Am.
When PB bought her he had a body made for her as a 330 P4 Spyder.
However, 0858 and 0860 were brought from 4.0L to 4.2L for Can Am spec.
There should be chassis mods as well that Napolis can enumerate.

    Best,
    Dave

0848 was my guess too, but the sidewindow looked different in all the shots of 0848. Maybe this was just because of the white decals that have been removed in the pic with Bardinon.

one more question: the picture is dated 24.5.1995

    in 1995 0848 was in Perfetti´s ownership.

was 0848 brought to Mas du Clos in 1995 or is the picture-info wrong?
