Can't imaging that means they plan on renewing Buxton's contract.

agree. I didn't warm up to Buxton right off, and missed actually Wndsor, but, now it's the the other way about.

They should retain both and cover the field better.

Despite all the negatives I always thought the guy did a decent job. He's probably better than anybody else they could have chosen. It'll still suck until they actually do "play-by-play" on site, which will be never.

And, hey! I'm all about second chances.....

Who is Buxton? Honestly, he's invisible in the broadcasts. He's like a ghost in the machine.

PW can come back. He should have never started that ridiculous USF1 project though.

    Buxton gets better insider scoops.
Windsor was good, Buxton is better.
And Buxton does hog the shot when the pit girls are behind him.

~ Always liked him. He seemed to favour Mark Webber a bit too much though...

    IMHO

I dont get the hatred of Peter Windsor? he is much more connected to F-1 than Will Buxton ever has been... Windsor was working in F-1 when Buxton was born.

is all this because of the USF1 thing? I mean come on ... the guy tried and failed... no harm in that.

Really, you make a great point. As long as we get good information, so what. Bring PW back.

Tom, I couldn't care less about his USF1 venture. I didn't like him when he was Team Manager at Williams and his stupid editorials in F1 Racing Magazine didn't help either. The Guy always came off as a total hard on prior to trying to the USF1 start up, going back to his also failed IRL Venture over a decade ago.

Really? It's always been clear to me in the pit walk and such that everyone who is anyone doesn't want *anything* to do with him. And that was before the USF1 nonsense. I cannot imagine it will be any better now.

A lot of people forget that Windsor was in the car when Frank Williams had his crash that paralyzed him. He's been part of the F1 scene for a long time.

Were you an investor in USF1?
    If not, why the venom?

F1 is full of lying ******'s, starting with Bernie at the top.
And who could forget MacLaren's Ferrarigate? Ron Dennis told a few little fibs about that debacle.

The only investment made in USF1 was the framing cost of Windsor's Jim Clark poster.

Na, Windsor is connected to all those guys. F-1 is a pretty tight little world... As people point out Ecclestone is the biggest liar & cheat around but he does it and makes other money so he is "respected" or feared... choose one.

Windsor has gone thru his rehab time, he'll be back which is good. he probably has a lot of dirt on folks, so they will not let him be gone for long.

Good news. Always found him to be amiable and very nice to chat with in the paddock. Whenever I would request to take a photo he always asked if his camera man could be included. I think its good he is back.

I would rather not see him back. I don't think he "tried and failed" with USF1 as someone stated. He might actually have tried a bit at the start, but he very soon fell into a shell game where he pretended that the effort was going somewhere when it clearly was not. The lowest he stooped (apart from the laughable Speed segment with Matchett) was the trip to Argentina to sign what's-his-name when the organization in Charlotte was clearly crumbling to pieces.

I really cannot stand Buxton so this doesn't bother me. Windsor was never the best but I don't really look down on him because of USF1; I have no personal issues with him regarding what happened. We all knew USF1 wasn't going to make it so it's not like I was shocked and appalled when it went under.

Just another good reason to not watch Speed.

    Except for Robin Miller/Dave Despain.......
