AMC is very easy to get to.... Freedom parkway make a left over the highway. proceed to stop light, and make left there... you are on boulevard... proceed to AMC on your left. If you go past boulevard... yes its a bit "urban".
I'm not sure if I know Brian, nevertheless my best wishes are with him for a speedy recovery. I would be happy to lend a hand in any needed wrench turning once you guys decide where & when. Ciao, George
Alternately, you can do what I did: turn right at the light after exiting I-75/85 onto Freedom Parkway, then make two more rights. This will take you back over Freedom Parkway, and if you keep going straight, you'll go right to the front entrance to the hospital, with the parking deck to its left. Parking in the deck is $1 for less than 30 minutes or $3 for 30-60 minutes.
Happy news, everyone! Brian has just gotten home and is resting. I don't have details from his brother but the hard part is over now. Thank you all again for your support and warm wishes!
WOW, I have been out of touch and just saw this. Very scary news, but I'm glad Brian is all right. I realize racing is all about personal responsibility, but mixing formula racers with production cars appears to be a very bad idea. I have teased Brian over the years, but I truly hope he pulls out of this in one piece. So please let us know how he progresses and what we can do. Dale PS In a trivial aside, Brian's father is a famous tax authority on partnerships (well, famous to those of us who labor in this obscure backwater). Damn, I hope he snaps back 100%!
Welcome Home Brian!! Glad to know things are progressing well - keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, buddy!! Cheers & C U @ d'Track!! C Chuck Hawks, Pro-Driver Coach, Instructor & Facilitator rEvolution Performance
Brian is definitely doing a lot better, rapidly on the mend. We'll try to get him to post on the forum in the next couple of days (issues with his modem & router). I think we should do the rev & honk fest at the end of the month, he should be up for it by then...
I mentioned the rev & honk fest to Brian last night. He lit up and said he would love it. What do you all say to 10:00am Sunday August 28 at the Home Depot on Old Peachtree & Satellite Blvd? I know it's kind of short notice but the following weekend is Labor Day...
LETS DO IT!!!!! early am (for me) is not my thing but this is for a friend so I'll be there highly caffinated! JD
Someone honk and rev for me... Unfortunately, I'll be in Florida - too far away to be heard. I hate I'll miss it. Cheers & C U @ d'Track!! C Chuck Hawks, Pro-Driver Coach, Instructor & Facilitator rEvolution Performance
Leigh, sure I will come. I do not know Brian, but he sounds like a great guy that is bouncing back from a crummy deal. Cheering up really helps the healing process. Hey, my car makes a lot of noise when I rev it up. Has a horn too!! 10:00am Sunday August 28 at the Home Depot on Old Peachtree & Satellite Blvd. Jack
Can we bump this time up a little? I don't think I can make it there in time after the F1 race is over. Pre race is 7:30, race is from 8:00 - 10:00 am I don't have a dvr and wont be able to watch the re-broadcast in the afternoon. JD
11am is cool with me. Please don't say anything about the F1 race to me. I will be recording it tomorrow morning. Lots of cars would be nice. Jack
I can't make it at that time. Might get more cars if you do it in the afternoon , maybe 3PM ? Just a suggestion !
